The Pink * Answer
Why Every Compass Pool is Pink Underneath
Since 2017 we've partnered with the McGrath Foundation to fund cancer care nurses for Australian families. Every Compass pool shell is painted pink on the underside – a daily reminder of a commitment we're proud to keep.
Fully funding a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse - every year
Compass Pools is a family-owned Australian manufacturer. In 2017 we made a conscious decision to direct our community support to the McGrath Foundation - a family-run organisation with a mission that felt deeply aligned with ours.
The McGrath Foundation has supported more than 70,000 Australian families since 2005, and today their nurses provide care and support for patients and families going through any kind of cancer - not just breast cancer. That expansion of their mission means more families can now access a McGrath nurse when they need one most.
At a cost of around $140,000 per year, Compass Pools fully funds a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse. Her name is Sam - and she's part of our family, and part of the McGrath family, providing care to Australians facing the toughest year of their lives.
